Amy Adams in full Amy Lou Adams (born 20th of August 1974, Aviano Italy) American actress, most well-known for her critically-acclaimed performances of naive and charming characters. Adams was born in Italy while her father served as a soldier in the U.S. military and she grew up in Castle Rock Colorado as one of seven children. In the early 1990s, Adams started dancing and performing professionally for the Boulder Dinner Theatre as well as the Country Dinner Playhouse. After moving to Minnesota, she starred in a mock-documentary film called Drop Dead Gorgeous (1998) concerning beauty pageant contests. The film's debut on screen was an attractive, bright-eyed contestant. Then, she relocated in Los Angeles in order to pursue a career as an actor. Leigh was discovered by actress Norma Shearer who signed her a contract join MGM during the 1940s. In the 1960s, she appeared in a variety of films, such as Alfred Hitchcock's Psycho and Living It Up.
