Beautiful pics of Tamara Day and Sarah Stiles feet & legs
A baby was strapped to my back while another crawled around in the playpen. I worked 12 hour days for months sanding and taking wallpaper off, all and with just one child. Ha! All was beginning to fall into place, but it was not quite done. The home would require an enormous amount of work and a love of shopping. To stay within the budget, I started by taking my sons to estate sales in search of diamonds. We would go from Thursday to Saturday at garage sales and estate sales, buying old and new furniture. Then I stenciled and polished in the driveway throughout the week. The look was similar to the picture below... That's where my passion for the restoration of furniture first began. When our home was fully furnished, I could not quit! Markets in town had room for me to sell pieces. Eventually, I had too numerous pieces of furniture to fit into the available space. My house was transformed into a space where I would host open houses. Up 1000 people would be able to view the items on my first floor and purchase these items. Growing Days was founded in my house. The business wasn't just expanding, but so was our sweet family as well. I was trying to find that perfect balance between what it took starting a new venture while also being a mommy. Growing Days was the obvious option. The year 2013 was the year my daughter Nora became our fourth child. I adored where my business was taking me, but I felt like I needed a break. I decided to step back and spend some time at home, with my family. It was exactly what I needed at the moment. However after a few months after that, the phone began to ring. The people who called me were seeking help for decorating their homes and interior remodeling. They were mostly people that came to my home to purchase furniture. In the course of my work, I added clients to my list each day. It wasn't too long before I managed several clients, and had a successful home remodeling business. If you'd told me that this business of mine could become the premise of a tv show for the DIY Network I probably would have thought you were crazy. It's hilarious to look back on the idea.
